Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 May 2026 · Version 1

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of The Red Light Review website at theredlight.review (the "Site") and any account you create on it. By signing in or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site or create an account. The Site covers adult subject matter. By signing in, you represent that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement where you live.

2. Your account

Accounts are created by signing in through Google or Facebook. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in provider credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Don't impersonate other people or sign in on someone else's behalf without their permission.

We may suspend or delete an account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm other users.

3. Content you post

If you post comments or any other content on the Site, you keep the rights to it, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and moderate that content as part of operating the Site. You can withdraw this license by deleting the content or your account.

You agree not to post:

  • Content that's illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or that targets a private individual.
  • Content involving minors in a sexualized context, or any non-consensual intimate imagery.
  • Content that promotes human trafficking or facilitates violence.
  • Spam, unsolicited promotion, malware, phishing, or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
  • Personal data of other people that they haven't consented to share.

We can remove any content at our discretion, with or without notice. We are not obligated to host content we consider harmful or off-topic.

4. Our content

Episodes, dossiers, show notes, artwork, and editorial writing on the Site are © The Red Light Review unless otherwise credited, and are made available for personal, non-commercial use. You can quote short passages with attribution. You can't republish entire episodes or dossiers without written permission.

5. Conduct

Don't attack, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass the access controls of the Site. Don't use automated tools to harvest data without permission. Don't try to identify or contact a real person discussed on the show without their consent.

6. Subject matter

The Site covers sex work, organized crime, exploitation, and related topics through a journalistic lens. It contains explicit descriptions and references to violence. Some content may be disturbing. Use your judgment.

7. No professional advice

Nothing on the Site is legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. If you need that kind of advice, talk to a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

8. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Red Light Review and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (typically zero), or (b) USD $100.

10. Indemnity

You'll defend and indemnify us against claims arising from content you post, your use of the Site, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Site or delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access at any time, for any reason, especially if you breach these Terms. Sections about content licenses, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law survive termination.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date and version at the top and, where reasonable, notify signed-in users on next visit. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

14. Contact
